Asynchronous motor service at SPEC SERWIS means comprehensive support for drives in industrial plants – from rapid fault diagnosis to full overhauls and modernisations. We ensure efficient repair of asynchronous motors, limit production downtime and help extend the service life of the entire drive system.
Professional asynchronous motor service for industry
SPEC SERWIS services three-phase and single-phase asynchronous motors used, among others, in belt conveyors, pumps, fans, agitators, overhead cranes and production lines. These motors typically operate in the power range from several hundred watts to several tens of kilowatts; they are resistant to electrical and mechanical overloads, but require regular inspections and proper operation to maintain high reliability.
Within our asynchronous motor service, we combine experience with NORD DRIVESYSTEMS drives with service practice across many industries – from logistics and intralogistics, through the food industry, to bulk material processing.
Scope of SPEC SERWIS service activities
At SPEC SERWIS we carry out both ad-hoc repairs of asynchronous motors and planned preventative work within regular inspections:
- motor condition diagnosis (electrical measurements, insulation assessment, analysis of bearing and rotor condition),
- regular inspections of electric motors (cleaning, checking connections, verifying the cooling system),
- overhauls and repair of asynchronous motors (replacement of bearings and seals, shaft refurbishment or replacement, rotor balancing),
- stator rewinding in accordance with the manufacturer's operation and maintenance documentation,
- adapting the motor for operation with a frequency inverter (selection of parameters, protections and the cooling system),
- installation and parameterisation of NORD frequency inverters for motor speed control,
- servicing of integrated drives: asynchronous motor + gear unit + frequency inverter (in cooperation with the geared motor department).
Wherever possible, we provide services at the customer's site – from an initial assessment of the drive's condition, through component replacement, to motor disassembly and transport to our workshop.
Inspections, fault diagnosis and failure prevention
Regular servicing of asynchronous motors makes it possible to detect early signs of wear before a serious failure and production line downtime occur. During inspections we use, among other things, thermal imaging and endoscope inspections (e.g. for hard-to-reach elements), as well as vibration and temperature measurements of the motor and its bearings.
Based on the diagnostic results, we recommend specific actions: from simple adjustments and grease replenishment, through bearing and seal replacement, to a full overhaul or modernisation of the asynchronous motor (e.g. changing the starting method, adapting it for operation with a frequency inverter). We also support customers in developing inspection schedules aligned with manufacturers' recommendations and the real load on the line.
Why entrust your asynchronous motor service to SPEC SERWIS
SPEC SERWIS combines drive service expertise with direct access to original parts and consumables.
- over 15 years working as an installer and service technician at the NORD drive manufacturer – excellent knowledge of motor construction and quality standards,
- direct access to the NORD production plant in Nowa Sól – fast sourcing of original spare parts,
- service certification and continuous access to the manufacturer's current quality standards,
- the ability to service the complete drive: motor, geared motor, gear unit, frequency inverter, bearings, seals and lubrication,
- emergency service with a short response time and transport support for parts and drives up to 1000 kg within Poland.
As a result, the customer receives not only the repair of a specific asynchronous motor, but full support in maintenance and optimisation of the entire drive installation.

FAQs – asynchronous motor service
Below you will find answers to the most common questions about asynchronous motor service at SPEC SERWIS. They will make it easier for you to plan inspections, repairs and drive modernisations at your plant.
Which asynchronous motors does SPEC SERWIS service?
We primarily service industrial three-phase and single-phase asynchronous motors in the power range typical for machine drives: from approx. 0.12 kW to several tens of kW, in various housing versions and degrees of protection (e.g. IP55 and higher). We handle standalone motors as well as motors integrated with gear units and frequency inverters, including NORD DRIVESYSTEMS drives and units from other manufacturers.
How often should an asynchronous motor be inspected?
The frequency of inspections should follow the manufacturer's guidelines contained in the operation and maintenance documentation, as well as the operating conditions (continuous operation, heavy loads, dust, high temperature). In many plants, the practice is at least one inspection per year for motors that are critical to maintenance, and more often for critical drives, based on condition analysis. SPEC SERWIS helps select the optimal inspection schedule for a specific installation.
Can you select and program a frequency inverter for an asynchronous motor?
Yes. We select the appropriate frequency inverter for the motor parameters and application, then install and parameterise (program) the device so as to achieve smooth speed control, correct starting torques and effective drive protection. We specialise in NORD DRIVESYSTEMS frequency inverters – both cabinet-mounted and decentralised versions – but we also work with solutions from other brands.
What does cooperation look like in the event of an asynchronous motor failure?
In the event of a failure, you can report it to SPEC SERWIS by phone or e-mail, providing the basic motor data and fault symptoms. We agree the mode of action (on-site service, motor disassembly and transport, spare parts delivery), and in critical situations we offer an emergency response and fast delivery of components or a complete drive within Poland. After diagnosis, we present a detailed quotation for the asynchronous motor repair and propose solutions that minimise the risk of further downtime.
