Geared motor service at SPEC SERWIS means comprehensive fault diagnosis, repair and reconditioning of drives operating in demanding industrial conditions. We make sure that your conveyor lines, agitators, hoists and sorting systems run stably, and that any failures are rectified quickly and predictably.

Service in our workshop and at the customer's site

We carry out geared motor repairs in our specialist service workshop and, wherever possible and justified, directly on site. We operate a mobile workshop in the form of a minibus equipped with the most essential tools, with which we are able to repair minor faults on the spot, right at the customer's premises. For heavy and large units we organise transport, appropriate securing and re-installation after the repair.

For larger installations we combine servicing of individual geared motors with an inspection of the entire conveyor line, pointing out the elements most at risk of future failures and proposing preventative measures.

Professional geared motor service – scope of services

We service, among others, helical inline, helical bevel and worm geared motors, as well as industrial gear units from various manufacturers, including specialised units used in the food industry, waste management, logistics and production. We work on individual drives as well as on entire process lines.

As part of our geared motor service we offer, among other things:

  • full fault diagnosis (disassembly, verification of component wear, leak-tightness check, oil condition assessment, vibration and temperature measurements),
  • repairs and reconditioning: replacement of bearings, seals, gear wheels, shafts; backlash adjustment, cleaning and assembly, filling with correctly selected oil; bench tests and tests under load,
  • modernisations and modifications – selection of gear ratios, changing the drive configuration, adaptation to frequency inverters, adjustment to new operating conditions.

Where the situation requires it, we combine geared motor service with "on-site at the customer's" services and support with transporting drives to our workshop and back.

Why entrust your geared motors to SPEC SERWIS?

We work with drives every day, which means we understand the real needs of maintenance departments – time pressure, safety requirements and budget constraints. We focus on concrete solutions, not general declarations.
Working with SPEC SERWIS on geared motor service means above all: - shorter downtime thanks to fast acceptance of the drive for service and efficient fault diagnosis,
- real reconditioning, not just "cosmetic" repairs – we replace the elements that are critical for durability and operational safety, - selection of the right oils and consumables for the application's conditions (temperature, dust, humidity, continuous / intermittent operation), - the option of covering your drives with ongoing service support under a contract (subscription-based periodic checks, oil changes, preventative inspections), -support with line modernisation – selection of new geared motors, frequency inverters and solutions that improve energy efficiency.
If you want to put the subject of drives across your whole plant in order, also take a look at the Cooperation and Our customers categories, where we describe long-term models of cooperation with production and logistics plants.

Which geared motors do you service?

We service helical inline, worm and helical bevel geared motors, as well as industrial gear units from various manufacturers, used in, among others, conveyors, agitators, screw feeders, cranes and sorting systems. If you are unsure whether a given type of drive qualifies for service, contact us – based on the name plate and photos we will verify it quickly.

What is the approximate repair time for a geared motor?

The repair time depends on the extent of the damage and the availability of parts. We usually carry out simple repairs within a short time after diagnosis, while for more serious damage, or where special components need to be ordered, we agree the deadline individually and communicate it to the service department straight away.

Do you provide spare parts and replacement parts?

Yes. In most cases we are able to provide original spare parts or high-quality replacement parts, selected on the basis of the documentation or the data on the name plate. At the customer's request, we can also prepare an offer for a complete new geared motor to replace a unit that is uneconomical to repair.

Do you carry out preventative inspections of entire lines?

Yes. In addition to repairing individual geared motors, we carry out preventative inspections of conveyor lines and other drive installations. We point out the elements requiring urgent intervention, plan replacements "ahead of time" and help draw up a schedule of works so as to minimise unplanned production downtime.
