Its aim is to quickly detect installation errors, incorrect settings and risks that could end in a failure after production start-up.
In practice, an initial inspection most often covers:
- checking the condition and completeness of the drive installation, together with a basic assessment of its operation,
- identifying potential irregularities before the line is put under load (e.g. before leaks or excessive heating appear).
