What data is needed to select the right NORD motor?
To select a motor correctly, we need, among other things, the required power and speed, the nature of the load (light/heavy, frequent/infrequent starts), the control method (direct, via a frequency inverter), information about environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dust) and the required IP protection rating and efficiency class.
Can you select a NORD motor as a replacement for an existing drive?
Yes. Based on the name plate, documentation or an on-site inspection, we are able to select a NORD motor as a replacement, retaining the key mechanical and electrical parameters. If necessary, we can also propose a modernisation – e.g. switching to a motor of a higher efficiency class or one adapted for operation with a frequency inverter.
